CIRRIS "CLAMP" ADAPTERS

Cirris Systems has develped a innovative approach for mounting "difficult" connectors to an adapter. The photos below illustrates this "clamping" concept. The connector (pins or sockets) are individually wired to the PCB below (the pigtailed approach). The connector is then clamped into position with the box clamp system as shown. When the connector becomes worn out or if a pin is broken off during a test cycle it is a fairly simple matter to unscrew the clamps and de-solder the connector. Solder in and clamp the new connector in place and off you go! We offer two sizes (Single High boards and Double High boards) which are pictured here.

SINGLE HIGH ADAPTER

Single high adapters can handle connectors 1" x 1 3/4" in size and less than 28 positions in the connector.  (Including shield connection)

  • ACLM-SS is the part # for parts only for a single high adapter.
  • ACLM-16 is the part # for 1-16 pos. connector mounted on a single high
  • ACLM-28 is the part # for 17-28 pos. connector mounted on a single high


Double High Clamp Option

DOUBLE HIGH ADAPTER

Double high adapters can handle connectors 1" x 4 1/4" in size and up to 64 positions in the connector.  (Including shield connection)
  • ACLM-SD is the part # for parts only for a double high adapter.
  • ACLM-45 is the part # for 29-45 pos. connector mounted on a Double high
  • ACLM-60 is the part # for 46-60 pos. connector mounted on a single high
