Cable Testers and Harness Testers Made Easy! |
|
Ohm's Law describes the electrical behavior of conductors and insulation so you'll often see high voltage test specifications that list a test voltage and either a maximum current or a minimum resistance. You can convert test specifications from voltage/current to voltage/resistance using Ohm's Law. This calculator is designed to help you convert your test specifications from one form to another.

Note: This calculator can generate combinations of voltage and current that are not practical in normal cable testing applications. If the calculation shows voltages or currents that are out of the specified range for a cable tester then you know the tester doesn't measure the resistance with the current or voltage you've selected. Don't Panic.
